We provide a comprehensive, quality service for our valued African Caribbean elders to enhance their quality of life.
WISCP can help older adults who are experiencing isolation and loneliness in Leicester through services specifically geared to meet cultural and social needs. We promote self-help and community care allowing our clients to remain in their own environment.
We are currently seeking Volunteers who have experience in one or all of the following:
* Health and Community Care
* Arts and Crafts
* Educational Activities
* Recreational Activities
* Working with older adults
* Working with the African Caribbean community
* Caribbean cuisine
* Experience in driving a mini-bus
Are you a Carer?
Some people may not identify themselves as carers and can feel isolated and unable to ask for help. Others do not wish to be called ‘carers.’ We realise that most care in the community is provided by family, friends and neighbours. Such people are referred to as ‘informal carers.’ and we believe that their needs and contribution should be recognised.Read More
